Dr. Koba received her master's degree in psychology from The New
School for Social Research in New York City and her doctoral degree in
clinical psychology from The California School of Professional
Psychology. She has been extensively trained in evidence-based
practices such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion
Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Dr. Koba specializes in working with trauma survivors and people who
suffer from chronic pain including Fibromyalgia, IBS, and Lupus. Dr. Koba
believes in mind-body connection and incorporates Mindfulness training
and Somatic Experiencing developed by Dr. Peter Levine into her
practice. Dr. Koba is a bilingual Russian and English speaker and is
familiar with challenges that cultural differences might bring.
