Alanah Roy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW #110937) providing therapy to adults, children, and adolescents. Passionate about supporting individuals and families as they navigate life transitions, her clinical specialties include perinatal mental health, adjustment to parenting, coping with chronic illness or medical crisis, caregiver stress, and grief.

Alanah graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles Masters of Social Welfare (MSW) program following a career as a doula and health educator in New York City. In addition to her involvement with David Plotkin Ph.D. and Associates, Alanah is proud to have worked alongside families at Jewish Family Service’s New Parents Connect program and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, as well as individuals experiencing substance use disorders at Homeless Health Care Los Angeles.

A committed community health advocate, in 2018 Alanah received a Certificate of Recognition presented by Councilmember 1st District Gilbert A. Cedillo of Los Angeles for her leadership and involvement in harm reduction programming for incarcerated individuals experiencing homelessness. She is on the board of the 501c3 KidzSpirit, an organization dedicated to pediatric intestinal failure and has served as a corporate consultant regarding family coping with chronic illness.

Alanah meets her clients where they are at with warmth, curiosity, and respect. Her approach to CBT is rooted in mindfulness, self-empowerment, and self-compassion.
